WINES TO ENJOY DURING THE HOLIDAYS

Purple Hands Pinot Noir this opens with a full and succulent burst of fruit, notably cherries and plums. The rich and juicy flavors are highlighted with a streak of cola and buoyed with ample acids. This is just flat-out delicious.

Elouan Pinot Noir is bright ruby red in color. Ripe cranberry, sweet cinnamon and fresh cherry create an inviting bouquet, with a subtle earthiness.  The flavor profile shows red plum, bright cherry, minerality, dusty earth, and a hint of sweet tobacco.

Fog Theory Pint Noir has a touch of smoke and jerky on the nose of this wine, with dried cranberry and some tar aromas also present. The smoked-meat element also shows on the tip of the palate, then gives way to tart cranberry and graphite, offering decent complexity with lingering woodsmoke.

Poggio Anima Asmodeua Nero d’ Avola is a Dark ruby-red. Blackberry and dark plum on the fresh nose, with complicating notes of anise, shoe polish and fresh herbs. Bright and juicy on entry, then firmer in the middle, offering dark cherry and plum flavors and a hint of cola. A musky herbal note comes up with air on the moderately long finish, with the cola note recurring.

Conundrum white Light in color — calling to mind shades of straw or sun-kissed blond hair — this wine opens with the evocative scents of apricot, pineapple, honeysuckle, and coconut. Entry on the palate is creamy and soft, with lush flavors of Asian pear, Hawaiian fruit, apricot and brown spice.

Henry Natter Sancerre a Light gold. Distinctive, slightly backward nose accented by grapefruit with blackcurrant bud undertones. Soft, supple, refreshing palate with lovely fruit-driven length. A traditionally styled wine whose successful purpose is to arouse the palate
